This online forum will focus on the grave concern regarding the increasing threat of nuclear war and what ordinary citizens can do to prevent it. The speakers are:

  • John C. Wester, Archbishop of Santa Fe, NM, who in 2022 led the way in the U.S. Catholic Church with his groundbreaking pastoral letter on nuclear disarmament.

  • Dr. Ira Helfand, past president of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and member of the International Steering Group of ICAN.

  • Marie Dennis, senior director of the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative and past co-president of Pax Christi International.

  • Claire Schaeffer-Duffy, Center for Nonviolent Solutions, will serve as moderator.
